April 27, 2009, La Quinta, California — Desert Jet, the leading on-demand aircraft charter service company based in the Palm Springs area, is proud to announce the granting by Transport Canada of a Canadian Foreign Air Operating Certificate (FAOC), as well as operating authority from the Canadian Transportation Agency. This certificate grants Desert Jet authority to operate Part 135 on-demand aircraft charters between Canada and the United States, as well as the authority to conduct trips originating from Canada. While “cabotage” rules are still in effect, Desert Jet now has the authority to fly passengers into Canada and then on to other destinations within Canada.
