Desert Jet Maintenance Expands Capabilities with New Battery Shop

Desert Jet MaintenanceNovember 11, 2015, Thermal, California – Desert Jet Maintenance, a FAA certified Part 145 aircraft maintenance company, has added a new battery shop to its capabilities.

The new battery shop enables Desert Jet Maintenance to overhaul, check and charge most nickel-cadmium (NiCad) and lead acid battery models at its facility in the greater Palm Springs area, including all battery models manufactured by Concorde and Gill. In addition, most models of standby battery packs can be handled.

“We are committed to making the maintenance process a seamless experience for our customers,” said Max Vivacharawongse, General Manager of Desert Jet Maintenance.  “By offering this in-house battery service we intend to significantly reduce the downtime caused by outsourcing this service to providers located hundreds of miles away.”

Desert Jet Maintenance is based in the Thermal/Palm Springs area and offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as a mobile AOG service to assist aircraft at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal (KTRM), the Bermuda Dunes Airport (KUDD), the Palm Springs International Airport (KPSP), and airports located throughout Southern California.
