THERMAL, CALIFORNIA, March 1, 2017 – Desert Jet Center, the newest full service aviation company based at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Palm Springs/Thermal (KTRM), is proud to announce that two team members have earned the National Air Transportation Association’s Customer Service Representative (CSR) Certification.
The CSR Certification program was designed to strengthen the core competencies of FBO personnel who seek to deliver a better customer experience through excellence in safety, application of logistical planning skills and a focus on the customer’s needs. Kristin Gilliam, Director of Operations and Heather Mason, Customer Service Representative, were both in the inaugural class of those earning the certification.
“Visitors to our region are becoming much more sophisticated about the options provided by aviation service providers and are increasing looking for full-service FBOs that provide an anticipatory customer service experience, as well as the highest safety and quality standards” said Denise Wilson, President and CEO of parent company Desert Jet. “Our team’s commitment to ongoing training and professional development sets them apart from other FBO teams.”
Desert Jet Center offers executive aircraft handling services for travelers to the Coachella Valley by air, including Jet A fueling, parking, hangar storage, terminal services, fully staffed FAA-compliant detailing team and FAA-certified maintenance on jet aircraft. Specialized concierge services such as ground transportation and aircraft inflight catering are also available. The upscale “service station” for aircraft is the first of its type here in the desert. While there are existing FBOs in the region, none of them offer a full complement of all services that a business jet operator requires, such as aircraft maintenance, detailing, asset management, leasing, charter, and acquisitions and sales representation.
Desert Jet Center is temporarily operating from an upscale, interim facility during construction of its new, modern terminal. Access from the airport’s longest runway is immediate as the facility is the closest to aircraft landing on either Runway 17 or 35. Hangar space is available to accommodate aircraft up to the size of the Global 6000 and Gulfstream G650, some of the newest and largest business aviation aircraft. Both jet fuel and 100LL fuel is available and ramp space to accommodate aircraft as large as a Boeing 767 is ample.
